- Formulates schedules, programs, and activities in conjunction with student leaders and departmental staff at cooperative institutions; arranges logistics on multiple fronts while keeping in mind the “big picture” of all programming at the institution and the general calendar of events.
- Identifies and takes advantage of opportunities to minister to and build relationships with college students; gains participation and interest in programs sponsored by the cooperative institution.
- Provides coordinating oversight and advice for students in group and one-on-one settings; suggests and initiates plans of action; monitors student led activities and ensures the cooperative institutions that its requirements and objectives are met.
- Interacts continuously with other people and is willing to be interrupted in order to give personal, caring attention to those who need it. o Communicates by exchanging information through regular discussions and committee meetings, by explaining the policies and procedures of the institution, and by speaking publicly at events.

- Identifies students who have latent administrative gifts and then involves them in projects; provides administrative training to these students.
- Interacts with various groups on campus to understand the needs they have which can be met through his/her position; strives to meet those needs according to the standards of the cooperative institution and the goals of the CCO.
